So I got an idea from another person on this board to do these for christmas gifts. They're so super easy to do!!! Takes me about half an hour from start to finish. They're grocery sack holders. They're about 9''X18'' and super easy to do!

What do you think?

I do not know how to do a Tut i hope this help.

The squared are 5 inch i did 6 across and 6 down, sandwich it with a thin batting and a backing i used muslin do a stitch in the ditch around each square then make a casing at the top and bottom one for elastic and one for tie string. Put the elastic in first, tighten it to your satisfaction, then sew the bag together.sew the elastic casing close and go to the top the casing for the tie do not sew the casing closed, stop before you get to the casing , then make a long tie and feed it through the other end you made a garbage bag dispenser.

That tutorial is slightly different than how I made mine. My squares are 3.5'' square. 18 of each color. I sewed them all together to form a 18'' square peice. I then right sides together sewed it closed to form a tube. Turned right side out and ironed. Then folded over a 1/4 inch amount on the bottom, and installed the elastic. Folded the same over on the top, stitched it down. Insterted my hanging material (like I would a drawstring in sweatpants) and then folded it over double to hold it tight.

I can get more detailed and do some pictures if ya'll want!
