Christmas presents
10 Attachment(s)
I started making these Christmas presents in April of 2015. They were given to sisters and sisters-in-law. There were times I thought I would never get done in time. The purple and yellow butterfly quilt I donated for a raffle. Everyone seemed to be very surprised and happy. Thanks for looking.

All are beautiful! You must have lots of sisters! They should love them and be very pleased & thankful! I have 5 sisters and tried to do quilts for all for Christmas about 3 years ago and never finished! So,I settled for birthdays. Still have 2 birthdays to go. One Mar. 24, one Dec. Really love the peacock (that blue and black is so pretty together) and orange and brown! Where did you get the peacock panel?
You were certainly busy! Good for you.
Just wondering what kind of batting you use? Your quilts have a very nice puffiness to them :-)
They all have polyester batting for less shrinkage.
The peacock is from Timeless Treasures, Plume collection. I bought it a couple of years ago to make my daughter a King sized quilt as a shower gift. The recent quilt is made from leftover fabric and I still have enough to make a couple more quilts. I bought all the designs they had because I wanted variation. Thanks for your comments.

WOW, what terrific Christmas presents. Can I become a family member? Just kidding. I really like your Lover's Knot quilts. When my son became engaged, I made them a "Lover's Knot" quilt, but she asked for a duvet cover instead of a quilt. The very night I began working on adding the backing for the cover; she called the wedding off because she had a richer, thinner boyfriend. My son was devastated, especially my son was told that the 6 year old daughter they were raising was not his. In hindsight, he was lucky because he didn't have to deal with her for 12 more years, but we were devastated at having her yanked out of our lives, not even allowed to say good bye. Well, here I was with a beautiful (if I do say so myself) lavender and soft green Lover's Knot quilt, which no one in our family wanted. My church usually raffled off a quilt at their Holiday Fair, so I offered that quilt, for a small amount to cover the cost of materials, and it made over $2,000 for my church. So that Lover's "Not" quilt went to a nice couple and it was out of my family because it only caused bad feelings. Right now I am in the process of making a king size quilt for my son and DIL, as a Christmas and 6th anniversary quilt for them. We have been gifted with one beautiful and very special DGD who has filled out family with love once again, and we know she's ours, forever. We are lucky to have both our DGD and DDIL in our lives, who make our son very happy.
