I thought I would share some photo's of my christmas projects that I have done over the last couple of years.
The first photo is: a santa sack which I appliqued then hand stitched around each piece. My old machine didn't blanket stitch.
The second photo: is a wall hanging by Michelle Aitken called " A child is born ". It looks like a lead light wall hanging.
The third photo: Is a christmas panel that is an advent calender. I free motioned around all the ornaments and flowers to puff it out a bit.

This was a Cindy Walter's snippet project. It was just so fun and easy to do. I did most of it while I was sick recovering from an operation. So that is why there was so many presents under the tree!!!!! I just put decorations on the tree and free motioned around the tree. I decided to frame the christmas tree and I am really glad I did.

All the projects are lovely/ I understand the snipped Christmas tree but are the gifts cut outs or did you have a pattern. My kids and I would love that tree and need to bookmark this site so maybe one day this can become another project.

I got the idea from Cindy Walter's Snippet Sensations Christmas decoration book. I actually did a class with her when she come out to Australia. You just apply Steam a seam 2 to the back of the fabric and then kind of cut pieces to make the shape of the tree. When you are happy with the shape you then iron it down.
Cheers Jackie

I cut each gift individually. I was only going to do a few but as I was sick I used to watch tv and I got carried away. I just loved making the tree. In Cindy Walter's book she had a shadow box around her tree and that is how I got the idea. She didn't have as many gifts around her tree. But I had plenty of time. I added some christmas buttons around just to add to it a bit. I also did some creative bobbin work on the tree with some gold thread. It ended up an expensive project but I am so glad I compleated it like I did.
Cheers Jackie

I would like to know more about it also. I've done a heart using the snippet method, but would like to know how you did the tree and got the things under the tree.

They are all beautiful!

I love all of these items but my favorite is the stocking. Beautiful pieces and great work!

This is pretty funny some how with my expertise computer skills I e=mailed my sis some of the pictures of your beautiful quilts so she could see what I was trying to explain to her, and now all of your lovely projects are a slide show on my screen. My family keeps asking me who all these people are with the really cool quilts. I told them they are our new family members from around the world. It has been fun. I don't know how it happened but I have enjoyed all your pictures.
