Janstar 12-11-2009 01:36 PM

Really cute runner!

javin22 12-11-2009 02:05 PM

The name of the pattern is Christmas Log Runner. It is in the book Holly Jolly Christmas Quilting by Jeanne Stauffer & Sandra L. Hatch. There are a bunch in this book that I want to make. I got it at the Library and liked it so much that I bought it on E-bay. Here is a link if you are interested- http://catalog.ebay.com/Holly-Jolly-...=p3286.c0.m504

Joan 12-11-2009 02:27 PM

I want to go to Bunco, too!!!!

(if I can win..........)

pennyswings 12-11-2009 03:50 PM

This came out so pretty. I love your design and the materials you used.

javin22 12-12-2009 02:46 PM

Thank you all for your compliments! I will make one for each of you that come to visit me. How's that? If you all want to come, we could have our own bonco (bunko) party. What fun that would be. I am not sure which is my favorite part about bonco. the game with funny ladies, the food, or the prizes. I don't think I could pick! It is once a month and I sure look forward to it. It has been extra fun the last three months watching the ladies fight over my table runners. LOL It was almost a wrestling match in November. :)

hsquiltingmom 12-12-2009 07:35 PM

Hey,

I live fairly close to you. I am in Layton, so I could just come visit and you could make me one. Just teasing. I can imagine the ladies fighting over these. I am working on some Christmas gifts now, and thing I might try to make a few runners. Some for my daughter who is married, and some for my other daughter for her hope chest.

You did a great job

hsquiltingmom 12-12-2009 07:38 PM

well, I just checked my library website and we don't have it. Guess when I go to work on Monday, I will request an interlibrary loan and see if I can get it. Even if I don't get everything done before Christmas, that will be okay/

ctmhjenn 12-12-2009 08:05 PM

GREAT idea...what a way to use your fabrics, and I bet this would look fantastic with scraps, light and dark. Looks beautiful and I wish I was the lucky player that got to pick first. Joanie

That is so nice. Love your use of color and the pattern is neat, too.

I've seen that pattern for sale - about $3.99, I think - on e-patterns.com.
Beautiful job! I especially like the extensions into the border.

okay, this Christmas Log runner is featured on
e-patternscentral.com in a 3-pack of runner patterns with the Christmas Log Runner pictured. The 3-pack is $6.99.
It's so nice to see it enlarged on this site. Beautiful job! Thanks to everyone who posts photos - very inspiring.

Katrine 12-14-2009 10:25 AM

That runner is beautiful, wonderful choice of colours, so striking - another order from me please!

toucanbear 06-30-2010 06:03 PM

Is the pattern easy enough for a beginner?

javin22 07-01-2010 07:46 AM

If I remember right, it was a little tricky. I am right in the middle of moving right now so it is packed. I would suggest to see if you can get it at the library and try it first. That way if it is too hard, you are not out anything. For the most part it is easy, it is jut putting it together with the triangles on the edges that is tricky. Good luck

kat112000 07-01-2010 07:48 AM

Very nice!

toucanbear 07-04-2010 01:11 PM
