What are those appliqué fabrics? At a glance I thought the background was showing through but a closer look showed me my error. Are the deer parts cut from the same or multiple prints? Very effective, very subtile.

My first impulse in designing a quilt like this would be to use a very subtle (plain) background, but the vibrant pattern of the poinsettias makes this spectacular. Even though it is red, it makes me think of snow falling in the background. Nice work!
