Christmas tree skirt
2 Attachment(s)
I finished up my first Christmas tree skirt. Here is the front and back.
There are things I like about it and things that I don't like about it. But I learned somethings so I might give it another try :) Thanks for looking and Merry Christmas!! |
A nice country feel to it.
A very interesting binding. Can you please share how you achieved that look. |
very pretty skirt. love the ruffle
Cute tree skirt!
Don't you mean "here's the front and the other front"?! Both sides would be pretty under the tree...
Is the binding a ruffle?
It's very pretty and love the ruffled edge.
Merry Christmas! thank you for your kind words....yes the ruffle is the binding. I did that birthing method to get the ruffle on the edges. I was going for a "country" feel I am just not sure about the fabrics.. well I love the fabrics so maybe they just were not the best fabrics for that particular pattern :)

It looks great!
That is wonderful. I love the binding. I bet it's either cotton that looks like satin or it is satin.
Like the colors - a little country look - very nice.
I agree both look like fronts. I also like the ruffled binding/edging. Did you ruffle it 1st, then sandwiched it between both layers ?
Really nice! The ruffles really take it to a new plain.
Thank you. The binding is charmeuse satin. Yes I ruffled the satin first then I used the birthing method and layered the satin with the batting, front and back. I do like how the ruffle turned out[h=1][/h]
