Christmas Tree Wallhanging
3 Attachment(s)
Here is the tree wallhanging I was trying to share yesterday. I finally figured out that my pictures were too large. My home is extremely small and my Christmas tree is extremely large so I decided to make a tree wallhanging instead. I love the way it turned out. I have a small round table that I placed under the wallhanging with a crocheted covering. I placed the gifts on the table under my "tree".

Thank you for the compliments! I didn't use a pattern. I measured the door and drew it out on wrapping paper tissue paper. I just free-hand drew the tree and transferred the design to wonder-under iron on adhesive. If you make one of these, you don't need to use the entire tree cut out on wonder-under but just cut out about a two inch wide girth around the tree drawing and save the inner wonder-under from the center of the tree for another project. Then, lay out the cut out portion on the back of the tree fabric, press and cut around the outside tree. I bought a roll of bead trim and sewed on for the garland. Then I used two packages of blings...one of snowflakes and one of the round style. I just used E6000 glue to attach the blings. The star was a plastic star that I bought at Michaels, I removed the gold thread that hangs it to the tree, wrapped the rest of the bead trim around the center of the star and used crocheted thread to sew it in place. It was fun. I did use a layer of cotton batting and muslin backing and quilted it before adding the bling! Super quick project.
