Well now gcathie, you sure are asking the wrong one. I have giant size "L" plates up on that so no use asking me. There are a lot of books out there and when I get to the stage it will read up on different designs. So far all I have attempted were free motion leaves, (they did look quite good :wink: ) however I had to make a drawing with chalk first to give me a clue as to where to go. Good luck. Elle

I love the double sashing. I am not sure if that is what it is called, but it is gorgeous!! Wonderful job.

Thanks Izy......ahhh you noticed .....my DH helped putting up a new closet rod from Lowes....(like a Hardware type store) This is working out nice....Darn I wish I would of had a photo of Mom ...DH took these....

tlrnhi.....Thanks....it looks a lot like the top but it is finished... back, border and all gonna enter in the local Fair...wish me luck!

That is one very beautiful quilt and I just love the colour.....is that one spoken for to, if not , well you know where to send it...

That is a really good tip about the paper buttonholes to keep track of your square. NEAT.

Well Gee Whiz, I turned my back and there it was quilted an all.

Butterflyspain....ahh thank you...I am finally done with the paper holes that I've had forever and am now using the little white rectangles...like them better more room to write on....this works good for me and a lot less ripping the seams out....yaaaa hooo...

gcathie..I just cut out another quilt like this the other night.. This time I cut out 30 block sets where each of the four squares is 3 1/2" I plan to put a nice cream tone on tone next to each block and do some nice hand quilting on them.

Gosh I really like this quilt....I need you around to motivate me...you seem to find time to do lot of sewing. I need to go and rent me a place so I can sew for a entire month. LOL

SewSew2......Oh this one is fairly easy and isn't it cool how just turning the block you can have so many different looks...you woould like this one...it works fast... and Thanks for your kind words....Our Electricity was off since Sunday....I don't even know what day it is....but it is one and I'm having sewing withdrawals.....and chat room too....sure glad ist is on....tonight at 7:00pm.....
