This quilt gives a whole new take on "falling into bed" - It's pretty wild! Thanks for sharing!

Wow. that is a nice quilt! But it makes me dizzy looking at it! You did an excellent job!

Very impressive. I am looking at it trying to figure out how you got the progression moving out from the center to the outer edge. Is the quilt circular? Good job on finishing your quilt. I'm sure your instructor will be impressed.

This is awesome! But I had to laugh at the Circles of Migraine name--bet it fits too!

That is quite an accomplishment! My DH would love that.

That is so impressive! I wonder what she will dare you to do next?
|
Wow! That is an amazing quilt! You should be very proud!

Thank You everyone for your generous compliments. Yes it was a nightmare to make, and the instructor loved it. Just to clarify, she was not nasty in daring me, as we were friends as well as her being an instructor. She watched the progress on this quilt with amazement...mostly that I was making it sooooo big and that I was actually doing it. Although this quilt gave cuss-words a new demension, it was fun to make. It was a circular quilt that I mounted on the square fabric, making it a 120" square. Although this wasn't for the faint of heart, as matching all those little pieces was a nightmare, it was an enjoyable project. Someone asked about the centre, I appliqued the circle to the centre to finish it off and to hide little indiscretions, and the hummingbirds and morning glories were also my idea, although I wiah I had added more. Again, thankyou for all your wonderful comments and thankyou for looking.

I made this quilt six years ago as a challenge/dare from a Quilt Instructor giving a class in my QS. She said I would never do it, let alone finish it. I called this quilt everything from Circle of Nightmares to Circle of Migraines with a few other names for variety(LOL)
It took six months to make and I had it quilted by a good friend. I added the hummingbirds and morning glories appliques, going from larger ones to smaller ones, trying to get a whirlpool effect. I think I needed to add more to get the effect I wanted, but, oh well! Anyway, not only did I meet her challenge, I made this quilt a whopping 120" square. I am really quite proud of this quilt. Not just because of the labour intense work, but because I finished it!!! |
Wow, Wow, Wow! That is some quilt! I woud never take on a challenge like that one! It is amazing, and I love the added applique hummingbirds
