This is my Winding Ways quilt top using 11" block templates from Marti Michell. It had been many years since I've sewn curved seams but boy oh boy did I ever get practice with this one! Still have to figure out borders and backing but the big part is done! I'm going to do another one using Flynn's 8 X 10" rectangular block template next.

very nice, it is on my to do list.

bearisgray 05-12-2012 02:58 PM

That pattern has always fascinated me!
But I've been afraid to tackle it.
Not because of the curved seams = because of the center seam intersections.

dunster 05-12-2012 03:00 PM

Wow, I just love how that came out.

Marti Michell has great instructions re that center seam! The way she explains it, they lay flat as you please!

The colors/fabrics are FABULOUS! I personally kinda like to piece curves, but everybody knows I'm something of an odd duck... LOL! I can't wait to see this beauty when it's all done!
