Oh Ruth, that is absolutely beautiful. I am in awe of that panel, I do have some of that fabric, but your design around this panel is fantastic. Wonderful work.

rootyr 08-16-2011 02:14 AM

I bought the panel at a local quilt shop but designed the rest after one I had seen and liked!

I love it. I am fixing to do one for my husband. Is it your pattern or what?

auntmarie 08-16-2011 03:58 AM

What a great idea to put the leaders in the center.
I bought a T-shirt like that and gave it to my nephew.
The fellows in his office offered him $l00.00 for it .
Your quilt will be very valuable now!!!!!!!

Outstanding!!

Chigger Holler Quilter 08-16-2011 09:17 PM

I love it! I have it on my (bucket) to do list. I can't tell from the photo...did you use the Northern or Southern Generals panel? Guess what? I ordered the Southern Generals on line and was very disappointed when they came and were the Northern Generals instead. I did eventually find them, tho. I want to make this for a friend who fights for the "south" in civil war reenactments so he can use it on his cot when they stay in 'camp'. Glad you have yours done...speaking to me to get going with mine! Great job!
