Civil War Quilt Top I Just Finished Last Night
2 Attachment(s)
I finished the Civil War quilt top last night. It’s huge!I could only put ½ of it up on my design wall at 1 time and when I putup the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] ½ I held up the 1[SUP]st[/SUP] ½ to it to make sure Ididn’t get 2 matching blocks next to each other.Well, between that time and when I actuallygot the blocks sewn together some of them fell off the wall and I didn’t holdup the 1[SUP]st[/SUP] ½ again and wouldn’t you know it 2 blocks are next toeach other that are the same fabric! It’sright in the center of the quilt top and several people have said it looks fineor that they can’t find the problem sooo I think I may claim creative licenseand leave it as is…we’ll see what DH says when he gets home tonight since he’ssort of claimed we keep this one.

|

Beautiful quilt! Funny how others don't notice what we think is obvious. I did the same thing on my most recent quilt and decided against tearing it apart because I had enough of this particular project. I think if we don't point things out, they are not easily noticed.
