Civil War Sampler - lots of pics...
9 Attachment(s)
I had acquired several pizza boxes of blocks. This particular one held sampler blocks made from Civil War repro fabrics. I know very little about these quilts blocks and hope I did justice in this layout. Faced all the normal challenges: blocks different sizes, different quality of stitching, etc. However, someone will be glad to have this quilt somewhere down the road and it's in a much better place outside of the pizza box!
We did some block specific quilting - for the log cabin, Dresden plate and friendship star we used designs specific to those blocks and then used a collection of 5 or 6 designs for the balance of the blocks. I don't have a pic of the back but we used muslin. Thanks for looking! This looks great! Good to see the blocks freed from the pizza boxes! GREAT JOB!

Great job with the placement. An exciting job and great satisfaction with the resulting quilt (out of the pizza box).

A most interesting project. Now, where is it that you order your pizza?? (We all might like some!)
