Civil war fabrics are not my favorites, but after seeing your quilt, I may just have to try using some. Its beautiful.

One of the girls that works at the LQS that I go to is working on the 2011 quilt and just the portion that she had done a couple months ago is so beautiful that I signed up for the Civil War 2011 class. Fantastic! Very Intimidating though. I am no where near ready to attack something like that. Bravo for you!

Just beautiful and so inspiring! I have been collecting the CW fabric for 2 years and probably have enough for 3 tops by now. My Mother's ancestors were in the war and I want to take their pics and the grave stone pics in Arlington, VA and put them into the quilt. The son changed the spelling of his last name so he could be in the same unit as his father. Firl and Firle. I recently bought Bonnie Blue and Windham fabric for $2.59 a yd. in the Lancaster, Pa. area. What a find and there is lots more there. Have to make another trip! You inspire me so much but I have a Jinny Beyer to finish first. Thanks so much for showing it to us.

What a beautiful quilt. You did an awesome job!
