Wow! This is one of the prettiest uses of scrap fabric I've every seen! It is beautiful!

What a gorgeous quilt! Thanks for the fun close ups of your fabrics. So... to do that kind of log cabin block, you make one half out of 1/2" finished strips, and the other half out of 1"? Gotta try it. I have so many strips.

When I made mine I precut all my logs and kept them in a candy tin stacked up by size and value. For me it was a great mindless sewing project. It is the kind of project that if you only have a few minutes to sew you can sit down and work with it and leave it for later without too much brain strain.

@ post 38, Feline Fanatic. You are so right , This is really not to hard once you start which is the important thing. What ever your method style is, pre cutting like you did or my mindless pulling and cutting method, this pattern for me was quite meditative and relaxing to do. Just pick and choose and sew. The only real organizing I did was to separate the lights and darks. Thanks again to you for getting me started.
peace

Hahahaha!

"No piece of fabric, no matter how small, is ever wasted."

If Aesop could only see this.:D
