Here are a couple of before and after pictures of a sewing machine I have just cleaned up. I know there are plenty of vintage machine fans on QB, and that you may have machines that you haven't got round to cleaning yet - it took me more than a year to get round to this one.

Billy has posted plenty of information on cleaning machines on QB. My method is slightly different and is ideal for anyone who hasn't got a shed, garage or workshop to work in. I just monopolise the table for a couple of evenings and everyone has to work around me.

I've done my best to keep the videos as straightforward and simple as possible, but nevertheless it took two videos totalling 26 minutes to pack in everything I wanted to get across.

Here are the links http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bidpJsAzc2A for Part 1 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKR5t4DyPwM for Part 2

If my videos help someone to finally take the plunge and clean up an old machine and put it to use, I will be delighted!

Thanks so much for the tutorial. Really enjoyed your videos. It is a beautiful machine. I learned some new tips to help while I am cleaning up "new" machines.
