I just finished quilting flowers around the appliqued circles on this client's quilt. Her friend bought it in an antique shop in Vancouver British Columbia.
It has circles appliqued by hand with satin stitch to bleached feedsack fabric. Each block has 7 circles. I quilted petals around the circles to make each block look like a flower. |
Nice job! You really kept the appeal on the quilt top and not all the quilting on the top.
If you can, get your friend to label the quilt - where she got it, any story about it when she got it, and mention your name and date when the top was finally quilted. Thanks for showing us the quilt! |
Well, thats different! I like it and quilting is wonderful.
|
I really like how you have enhanced this beauty.

Beautiful. Never seen one made like that. Great job with the quilting, too.
|
Sounds like your quilting and what I can see on the computer really enhances the quilt. It is different for sure.

How pretty...unique and interesting quilt. Thanks for sharing with us. It's work like this that gets us inspired and going off on a tangent:).

Very pretty! Did a gorgeous job.
|
Beautiful!

What a unique quilt, nice though! :)
|
Thanks, everybody.
Such unique fabrics! Did you see the violins on the left in the first photo? There is another block with mandolins. And one with baby chicks too. Just so strange. |
Beautiful work! I don't think I have ever seen a quilt in that pattern, but love the fussy cutting the piecer did. Nice job of enhancing a vintage quilt!
