I made this using dozens of old corduroy trousers. When going through my corduroy "stash" I found many trousers I had been wearing myself as a child. Luckily my mother and grandmother kept every piece of clothing and fabric which might be reusable one day. I had a big box of corduroy trousers to go through and pick my favourites. Apart from the backing I didn't buy anything, it's really all old trousers from my family.
I left out the corner pieces on purpose, that way it folds nicely over my bed. My young cat Churchill helping with every step of the sewing process. (And again my computer has turned the picture the right way up but it fails to show correctly here) |

Thusnelda, what a pretty quilt and a great use of 'family' fabric for a quilt of loving memories. Churchill is cute too. Looks like you put the sewing machine on the floor to be able to spread the quilt out while sewing. Good idea!!
