Woozer!! I really like that. A collage quilt is definitely on my bucket list. May have to look for a class this year.

That's a great job! I can't even imagine trying to pick fabric colours for something like this.

First of all, your cats collage is awesome!
I have been toying with the idea of taking Susan Carlson's Master Online Class, but the cost is pretty hefty. Did you take the Online class or were you lucky enough to take a class with her in person? and did you feel that the quality of the class matched the cost?. Without a doubt, Susan Carlson's work is amazing! I personally think that her fabric collages are a step above all the rest. I'd love to hear your feedback.
Again ... this cat collage is spectacular!

Wow! That is beautiful work! You have such a way of making them look so real. On my bucket list to try, but looks so difficult. Kudos to you! Fantastic!

Lovely! I so want to take one of her classes. I saw her show at the New England Quilt Museum in October 2018 and was amazed by her work.

busy fingers 01-08-2020 03:29 PM

Amazing. That is on my to do list this year - hopefully my quilting group is going to organise a two day workshop for us all to take part.

Hi Nita, Thank you so much! I took Susan’s class in person for 5 days. It was crazy expensive but a once in a lifetime experience and totally worth it. She gives so much attention to each student. Definitely recommend:)

quiltymama 01-08-2020 11:51 PM

Thanks all so much! To answer a couple of questions:

1. I’m not sure how many working hours went into this but it was a lot. I did this off and on for over a year
2. The process is addictive and a lot of fun
3. if you can take a Susan Carlson class, I highly recommend it! I signed up about 10 months in advance. She is very hands on for all her students
4. the size is approximately 45x36

SusieQOH 01-09-2020 08:32 PM

That's fantastic!!!!
I love your kitties, too. They're precious!

MicheleC 01-15-2020 07:46 AM
