So very interesting. I'm trying to figure out how you put it together. Love the swirls and the diagonal stitching and also the centers where the stitching intersects...

Hey Linda, I drew the spirals on a piece of muslin, went through my bits and pieces box of tiny fabric remains and sorted them by color, then used just a dot of glue to hold the fabric pieces in place. Once they were all down, I free motion zigzagged around every piece of fabric, mounted it on the maroon backing, sandwiched and quilted it.

I really like this, too. Thanks for sharing your technique. I may "steal" the idea for my small quilt guild as a next year's workshop on a smaller scale suitable for a day long class. I can "see" sew many possibilities for design ideas, from a large graphic flower set with neutral background, a sunrise (set) with purples (twilight) foreground let alone the random graphic nature of your piece. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful job.... you are an artist

I like the interplay of colors, particularly the color of the binding that you used, and the quilting design works really well with the overall look of the quilt. Very nice.

I have never tried this, but yours is beautiful. I love modern art quilts. Great job!

Ooo, that is awesome!!!
I love it!
So bold an image.
It reminds me of an explosion--in a good, creative way. :)
