So not the armo plus fusible pellon, just heavyweight interfacing like decor bond? I ask because some pictures I've seen look really 'puffy' ... moreso than I would want. I use the armo plus in my bags by Lazy-Girl Designs. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us! Peggy if they were the puffy look it may have been some early ones with I used regular batting and quilted them. I have not used reg. batting in a very long time, .. always fusible pellon The sad thing is I've had the fusible batting for several Lazy Girl - Margo's cut out for several months now. I just need to cut the fabric and sew. I spend too much time on this Board plus too many days at work! LOL Don't you just hate it when your J-O-B keeps you from sewing! :) |

I was a food service manager for an elem school for 15 years.. all the lifting I did took a toll on my body.. now at 57,,I can't imagine working anymore.. I love being home. I'm pushing 59 and the only reason I'm still working is because Fibromyalgia is not a 'disability' by Soc. Sec. standards and since my DH had a stroke in 2008, I'm the primary bread winner. He's now on Medicare but that means I lost his COBRA healthcare. That's when I found out that someone my age who looking for individual health is uninsurable if they have fibro.
I have one Cymbalta left and then I'm on my own! I tried to get it from the drug company but they think I make too much $$. Perhaps they would like to pay the co-pays on DH's 3 types of insulin, blood thinners, cholesterol, triglycerides, arthritis, anti-depressants, doctor's visits, not to mention the neurological deficits we have to cope wth! Whew! sorry about that, didn't mean to go on a rampage! Anyway, I'm so glad you were able to 'retire' even though it was for medical reasons. Think of me during the day and sew a few stitches for me OKAY? |

Colleen did a pictorial tutorial to go along with the pattern. Do a search under tutorials or under colleen53 posts. |
I was very nervous about trying this pattern out, but what I did was cut everything out , than just did one step at a time, it turned out to be pretty basic if you've done any sewing at all but I think I'll go check out Colleen link and see if she did anything different,,,,

Some one write on here that you did a tutorial, I couldn't find yours, but I did find someone elses. They are pretty ez to make, and it is nice to have the pictures for the people who haven't ever made one.
I don't put front pockets on my purses, and I am thinking about adding a couple of inch to the (h) in order to make them deeper.My sister god love her puts so much in her purse that it feels likes she has bricks in them. It is a good thing that I reinforce the handles, by sewing them at least 4 to 5 times before I put the final seems on them. My handles will never come out., good thing, for my niece is the same way. Of course I have never made one for myself., to busy doing them for others. |
