Just found out some friends were expecting in a couple months.
So I went to my stash, since most of my baby/children scraps were strips this pattern worked great. We didn't know the sex of the baby so I made it bright and colorful to work for either a boy/girl. I quilted in the ditch on my Bernina. On the white strips I used a varigated thread and the feather stitch to add interest. Finished size is 36 X 47.

We tend to think of soft colors for baby quilts but they will be infants for such a short period of time. Colorful quilts will catch their attention over and over again when they are older. Good job, it was quick, fabric was available and it's looks great, what more could anyone want. That is going to be one lucky baby. May in Jersey
