I sooo like these colours but never seem to buy them... sigh... I promise myself I will after seeing this. Great quilt and they seem very happy with it.

Front? Back? Seems to me that you have created a truly reversible quilt. Imagine being able to redecorate a room as easily as turning this masterpiece over!
Great fabric choices. Nicely done.
Great look, both sides.
Beautiful quilt... both sides!

Both sides are beautiful, love your colors too. Don't know who is luckier, your girlfriend receiving the quilt or you getting to visit her is such a beautiful place!.

I agree....both sides are great. The back gives me the idea of trying it....just put strips every which way
and size and see what comes out!! Your quilt turned out terrific!! love it !! |
OMG - your backing is extraordinary and I love it. I'd be hard pressed to say which I like better, the front or the back. Beautiful quilt.
Now that is what I call a real authentic original and a gorgeous one, at that.
O Wow! That is fantastic! I love both the front and back and the colours are perfect for the landscape. I'm also envious of you two in shorts as today I shovelled 10 more cms of snow. Sigh.

I love your quilt - especially that really interesting and beautiful backing. It looks like palm tree leaves to me - very apropos.
By the way, how did you do that backing? Thanks. |
Your right it's gorgeous on BOTH sides!
The front is pretty, but the back is spectacular!
Well, in truth, I planned to do the backing out of the orange batik but I only had 2 yards of it. I thought about boarders in the other scraps but thought it would look choppy as I didn't have yardage of any of them so I just started slicing into the 2 yard piece, adding different pieces of some of the fabric from the front that I had left over. What I thought would be simple actually turned out to be much more difficult than I expected as I kept ending up with ever changing weird shapes - not a rectangle. Eventually when it was large enough, I cut it down to the backing size. I will do it again as I loved the result, but I may try to plan it a little this time so I don't drive myself mad.
