I have never heard of using comic book backing boards with fabric - take a peek at the picture below. You can buy these at your local comic book store or on Amazon or eBay. They are acid free and economical.

A pack of 100 run around $10.00

The fabric starts folded selvage to selvage then fold it in half to the selvage again. fold over the board and use straight pins to secure

thought I would share :)

I do the same thing W/O buying the boards...just wrap around my 6" wide ruler. Think Alaskasunshine has a great tute on this.

Great way to display your fabrics! You can really see them all by using the boards. Thanks for the tip.

It does make your fabrics so organized. Adding to my Amazon wish list. thanks.

Yup, this is how I've done mine and I love it! Some brands of boards are thicker than others, and watch the size if you are buying on the internet. I really like "BCW magazine Boards 8.5 x 11" 24 pt. board". I cut some of mine in half for pieces smaller than a yard.

Wish I had that much fabric, but I'm working on it. :o

its alot cheaper than the plastic board I purchased and you don't have to take the time to cut it.
