This is an awesome quilt. It has a 3-D effect with the stars floating across the blue background.

Great colors and design. Don't you love that background fabric. My sis in law and I have gone thru yards and yards of that. It's the background to my GS's angel quilt. It's the background to her son's Sister's choice quilt. It's the background for her GS's sail boat quilt, it's going to be the dark in an Irish Chain we'll start on shortly. I've put some back for the dark in my STORM AT SEA if I ever get moving on it. We've used bits and pieces everywhere. We had purchased it at our local Walmart which no longer carries fabric. In a panic we traveled a few miles to the only Walmart we know locally (still 30 miles away) that still sells fabric. We ordered a whole bolt. It's going to take a while to get it used. Beautiful, beautiful piece of fabric.

AGAIN beautiful color choices on your compasses.

Wopw, lots of drama with the star fabric & abstract Stars. Very nice.

Sad to say, I didn't buy enough and when I needed more guess what? Walmart had started their remodel and I couldn't find any anywhere!

I had to find something else so I could finish this piece...Long story short, it still is not finished as it has kicked my butt with problems, errors, miscalculations etc...It started out so beautifully and I'm afraid it will end looking piecemeal.

I did learn something valuable though---don't start a quilt without at least having some idea of how you will proceed and buy fabrics accordingly!

Check Joann's. I think I saw the black/blue/white stars there, too. Or look up the manufacturer.
