I stippled the middle small because I know blankets get washed tons here and it just seems to hold a little better, I did lines on the purple border and a form of paisley on the black. I used wool batting and let me tell u I think I will be picking fuzz off this quilt for an eternity! I handlers it so much on the borders that's why! But love wool!! Thanks for looking!

Wow, that is going to be stunning

Great quilt! I have heard that wool batt is easier to push through a domestic sewing machine than a cotton blend, is it?

DebraK 02-05-2014 10:27 AM

You are doing such a wonderful job!

Wow...that looks wonderful! You did a really good job and piecing and quilting.

Wow, I am fascinated with this.Your whole quilt is wonderful, but your quilting is amazing.I am paying close attention to photos of everyone's machine quilting right now for I am(sucking in air) about to make my first attempts at it soon, after years of hand quilting. It will be on a Juki as I noticed yours is as well.I also noticed the white quilted piece on your wall in the background of one of your photos.I love the quilting on it as well.I hope you don't mind me asking how long you've been quilting, and also, are you self taught,or did you take lessons.Thank you.

Wow that is neat and the quilting is way spectacular.

In October we had one of our guild members show us how to do the hexies. Now it seems like everyone is on board the hexie bus! Wait till I show them this picture. They will love it as much as I do.

Thank you that is very kind!! Yeah, this was my first experience with half hexis it was fun that's for sure, it does keep you on your toes while piecing!
