It's probably the lighting. I took to the basement where I have more open floor space but the lighting isn't very good. Also the carpet is brown.

this is really pretty. I've always thought that yellows and browns really go together nicely. These colors are really soft and it matches your carpet really nicely. That is really pretty carpet. I like that.

It is yellow and gray with some Aqua. The carpet is brown and is in the basement so no natural light.

I like the fabric/color choices you used for this pattern.

Well, maybe you need to make another one in brown and yellow with a little bit of peach, cause it sure looks pretty on my monitor! ROFL
Seriously, when I was a child my mom made a quilt for my bed much like yours, in solids of yellow, gray and aqua! It was made from leftovers from a shorts and top set she made as a surprise, for me to wear to the circus. The school gave us all free tickets. I am talking about over 60 years ago. I can still remember how proud I was of both my outfit and bedcover. Mom was not a quilter, and I think it was a summer quilt (no batting) and I think it was 9-patch blocks- made from about 4 inch squares of gray and yellow, set together with aqua sashing. I have no idea what ever became of it. Hmmm... Maybe I should make myself a lap quilt using those colors. Think I might borrow your idea and use the Yellow Brick Road for it. I really like your quilt.
