Computer Hot Pad

Hubby likes to sit in his chair and play/read his laptop computer. but as time passes, the computer heats up his lap and he starts to complain.......So for father's day I made him a computer hot pad about 22 inches square. Now he is not so whiny, and Mother is happy on Father's day and beyond. Yeah!

Cute and with the heat resistant fabric on the back should keep the heat down.

Yes, and I added a layer of Thinsulate under the heat resistant fabric for added protection. It works great.

I like that! I might have to make one for myself. Often I toss a quilt over my lap and legs so the computer doesn't get so hot on my thighs, but since it's getting warmer, that's a bit too much.

You did a nice job on your pretty, and inspirational creation.

Wonderful job!
Just make sure the pad is not too 'fluffy' and blocks the PC vents. You might damage the machine by overheating. It's recommended that you use a laptop on a hard surface, like a desktop or a laptop cushion with a hard surface top.

Your little hot pad is pure genius. How funny how we each solve a problem differently. when DD complained of the same thing, I gave her a cookie sheet with a cooling rack to set in her lap. I never thought to make something with fabric.
