I think the fear must be gone by the looks of your quilt. You must be proud of it - lovely quilt and quilting. Oh, if only I could do the same....

I have that book and love it. It's a fabulous beginner book and anyone who isn't a beginner will appreciate it as well. You did a great job with the feathers on your quilt!

I bought that book to conquer my fear of feathers too! Yours turned out great! I was real pleased with mine too. I did what you did & drew a wavy line then feathered from that. I found the technique to be very forgiving & adaptable. I'm sure I heard of the book from someone on here & am so glad I did.

Beautiful quilt , I love feathers, but don't have the nerve to tackle them.

So pretty and the quilting is awesome. Good for you!!

What quilt pattern is this? I have some Mod brights I'd love to get rid of and this quilt looks like the perfect way to do it.

Thanks!

Suzanne

It's Summer in the Park. I think it came from Missouri Star Quilts Tutorials.

Your feathers are beautiful. I still have to screw up the courage to try.

I put the book you mentioned on my Amazon's wish list. I am a longarm quilter too (Gammill) and have never felt comfortable doing feathers. If I can do anywhere near as good as you did, I'd be thrilled. Thanks for sharing!

You conquered! Your quilt looks fantastic! Great feathers! :)
