Continuous Line Quilting

The first I've ever done and may be my last :))). A challenge but a confidence builder.

Very pretty.

thimblebug6000 11-28-2015 05:15 PM

So cute! I recently finished my quilt Covey of Quails from this pattern, I really enjoyed the technique. Did you edge stitch your appliqués?

Geri B 11-28-2015 05:16 PM

Interesting design.....hard to see the quilting.....did you just outline thruout???
Very pretty color choices.....

quiltsRfun 11-28-2015 05:25 PM

It looks great. Don't give up.

cdroter 11-28-2015 05:44 PM

Ha! Yes I did edge stitch the applique. If I had not, everything would have lifted. Those teeny tiny little feet gave me stress :(((. But, I got it done, whew!!! Because it is a wall hanging, I wish I had used a different batting...maybe Soft and Stable?

Tartan 11-28-2015 06:48 PM

Very cute!

#1piecemaker 11-28-2015 07:09 PM

I can't see the quilting but I love the pattern! Very pretty and nicely done!

BrendaK 11-28-2015 07:49 PM

Looking good. BrendaK

Love those quail and their little babies! Nice fabric too - looks like it was a lot of work!!

jenOSU 11-29-2015 05:18 AM

Fantastic job!

twinkie 11-29-2015 05:26 AM

That is very pretty.

EmiliasNana 11-29-2015 06:01 AM

It definitely teaches machine control. I've done a contiuum quilting pattern from Willow Bend and it turned out great. Also some from McKenna Ryan, raw edge applique. Definitely stressful, but so worth the work. Yours came out beautiful. Where did you buy your pattern?

Homespun 11-29-2015 06:26 AM

Looks great!

Mariposa 11-29-2015 06:38 AM

Terrific quail! :)

annette1952 11-29-2015 07:23 AM

Just gorgeous. I have never seen a pattern like that. Looks like it was a lot of work but well worth it. It came out beautiful.

wendiq 11-29-2015 11:13 AM

I hate to sound dumb, but what is continuous line quilting?

WisWis 11-29-2015 11:50 AM

Lovely panel. Well done.

cdroter 11-29-2015 01:55 PM

One of my guild members has the pattern and has permission to teach a maximum of ten.
A tip..it is important to use batik to eliminate fraying.
After the fact, I read that shortening the stitch length results in more control.

MissSongbird 11-29-2015 03:03 PM

Oh wow! That's beautiful in both color and design

mucky 11-29-2015 03:40 PM

Very interesting.

ManiacQuilter2 11-29-2015 04:53 PM

Cute but hard to see your quilting.

Wanabee Quiltin 11-30-2015 05:00 AM

I purchased my pattern a few years ago from a shop in Twisp, Washington http://www.thequiltinghive.com/ but I also saw this pattern in Oliver, B.C.... will see if I can find a link

Here's the link that I posted my quilt and it has a web site to order the pattern. http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...ml#post7384870

Very cute...

You don't sound dumb😍. Continuous line is..you start at the top right corner, work your way to the left then down to the middle row, working your way to the right and so on. Once you see it, study it (up close for me) then it becomes obvious. You just have to jump in and get your feet wet, so to speak.

Grandma Peg 12-02-2015 08:27 PM

Very nice wallhanging.

cdroter 12-02-2015 08:56 PM

The pattern is Covey of Quail.
