I'm going to make a couple more of these and use them as thread catchers :) I've almost used up all the scraps left from my machine covers now :)

I love these, they look so handy. They keep getting pushed down my "to-do" list.

I second this emotion! I am sending my father some homemade canned peaches and salsa for his bday, and would have loved to have made these boxes to use as cushioning for each jar (there are only 3). As it is, each jar is individually sealed in its own ziploc bag, and I will use a baby quilt as cushioning - he will put the quilt in a silent auction as a fund raiser for his tai chi class. But if you could let us know where the pattern came from, I'm sure many people would be grateful!

Happy stitching everyone!

Very coordintated.

How about a tutorial for these cute little boxes. They look easy enough but I haven't figured out how to do the corners yet. I tried downloading a pattern but my computer wouldn't for some reason.

Isn't 'used up' a wonderful phase for a quilter ????

Great fabric choice...

MargeD 07-30-2014 12:15 PM

The boxes are just as beautiful as your sewing machine covers. Great job. This is definitely on my "Roundtoit" List.

sunrise450 07-30-2014 12:17 PM

I have made these but mine didn't turn out as nice as yours! You do really nice work.

linda faye 07-30-2014 01:49 PM

You have been 'on a roll' :) With your beautiful machine covers, your sewing space deserves these thread boxes too. Thanks for sharing.
