Cottage Joy by Windham fabrics

Hi, I finally found enough fabric to make the size I wanted 87x96. I used the Double Slice pattern from MSQC. I free motion stippled, on my sit down Queen Quilter Eighteen. I used two layer cakes PLUS yardage, for the top. Backing is pieced and Joanns Keepsake Calico, in yellow distressed. It reminds me of vintage with the mason jars, bubble gum pink fabric and patchwork. I am really satisfied with the finished look.

Beautiful job. thx for sharing.

That is so my kind of quilt. I am not a fan of intricate patterns but like a more scrappy look to my quilts like yours.
|
Love the double slice. What is the finished size using two layer cakes. I often use one and add a four to six inch border for a generous throw. Just wondering. You quilt just whispers come and snuggle.
|
That just looks beautiful! Looks so comfy and snuggly.

Thank you all for commenting- I had these layer cakes so long that when I wanted to increase the size it was difficult to find all my fabrics in yardage and no layer cakes at all. I just couldn’t decide on a pattern for the fabric. I saw a DS here on quilting board and decided to make it with this pattern. I’m so pleased I did, so thanks quiltingboard members!

A perfect quilt for today, the Autumnal Equinox...makes me want to cuddle under such a fun quilt and read while drinking hot tea.
|
Cute! So girly.

Beautiful quilt, I love Missouri Star Quilt Company videos, they have so many great ideas.... wish I had more time to quilt so I could make them all, I need to live to be 100+ and not have arthritis or any other health issues to get all the projects done that I want to do and use up all my fabric.
"If I knew quilting was this much fun I would have started 40 years ago." LOL https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/smile.png |
Beautiful quilt, and a nice pose on the swing! Makes me want to hang out with a great new book to read on your porch!
