Counterpoint WIP

Yay!!! I've done all I can do on this pattern, I tell you it was exhausting, so much pressing.
I just need to find the perfect border fabric now...I had a deadline to get this far as this Sunday...whew...made it. We're heading west to Alaska on a road trip Monday morning and I'm taking this with me...it'll be my excuse to stop at "several" quilt shops along the way. (Palmer, Anchorage, Fairbanks) The pattern is called Counterpoint and it's by Mountain Peek Creations. Instead of sticking with the 3 or 4 fabrics I decided to jump into a fat quarter bundle I had in my stash (yay using stash!) and make each square different. I believe I'm going to look for a fabric that reads more solid for the border...I don't want to compete with the centre! |
Fantastic!!!!! Love the fabric choices; I am exhausted just thinking about what went into making this quilt!!!

At one point I made a complaint about my knees, as it was too big for my design wall and I needed to lay it on the floor to plan all those little triangles. My flooring installer husband (he's been doing floors for 30 years) had no sympathy for the time I spent on the laminate crawling around. Maybe I should have used his knee pads LOL.
Thanks for looking! |
Beautiful quilt! Have a nice drive, I live in Wasilla...just a few miles from Palmer. I was born and raised in Palmer though. :)
