Country Junk'tion BOM - February Hearts

2 Attachment(s)
Nothing like pushing the envelope to get this one done! I finished it this morning and displayed on the dining room door while our family exchanged Valentine cards. I used navy blues for the background and added extra hearts. Someone commented on another thread that it would look nice to have a heart partway in/out of the envelope. It does look nice doesn't it? I also added 'FEBRUARY' to the bottom of the mini quilt. Not necessary, just wanted to do it. Hope you like it!

As I am not a heart fan you made me like this months block with the use of the black background! I have porcrastinated making this months block because of my aversion to hearts but now I am on it thanks to you!!!!

I feel the same way when blocks are designed and made in a palette other than is pleasing to my eye. Even though I love the original creation, green is not my first choice. My husband helped me play with color and also reassured me that I would be happier if I chose colors that please me. I really wish I liked green and yellow more because quilters make the prettiest quilts with them!

Good luck on your mini quilt! I am excited to see what Country Junk'tion is posting next month!
