Hi,

My 30-year-old daughter requested we make a valance for her dining room. We worked on this one together. Here it is hanging on the poles from my HQ frame. We had a blast shopping for the fabric, cutting the pieces...and she matched and fed me the pairs for the "assembly line piecing" and did all the pressing.

I am especially pleased because she liked this one so much that she finally told me what she would like and put in a request for a quilt for Christmas! (I did not tell her which Christmas!)

Wow! What a gorgeous valance! Did you have a pattern, or is it something you just 'whipped up'? It's fabulous...and I'm in need of new valances myself! I just love it, and yes a matching quilt would be appropriate!
