a couple of finishes

before I leave for a two week vacation to California to visit family and friends...I had a couple of almost finished objects (AFO's) that I wanted to get done. The first is my Allietare from 2016 and the second is a recent quilt for my DGS. He is expecting a baby brother any day now so I wanted to send him something fun. He is 2 1/2 and totally into animals so there are many for him to seek and make sounds.

I've attached a bright orange/reddish binding on the toddler quilt but will hand stitch the binding on the plane ride this afternoon. :)
