The first quilt is my second BQ2 and my second ever quilt. The pattern is easy but the quilting a little tough (even though all I did was outline the squares) because of the size of the quilt. Also because fabric is so expensive and I am just learning I made it out of old sheets. The floral print was an old slipcover that was headed for the trash.

The Blue patchwork was just a bunch of 9 patches I put together from sheets and .99 fat quarters

Wow, from a bunch of odd ball fabrics you certainly made a beautiful quilt. You can no longer claim to be a beginner:)

Very nice love the recycling with sheets and etc. I do that all the time, nice material on dust ruffles that people don't do much with also. Keep up the great work it shows you love what you are doing.

Excellent use of resources. Very pretty. Sheets are harder to work with than quilting fabric, so you did very well.

That is a perfect pattern to show off your wonderful floral in the first one. The second is blue and I love blue. It is so pretty. If you asked me to pick a favorite I couldn't. I really like them both so much.

Both are beautiful! And there is nothing wrong with using what you can afford or already own. Great job-can't believe you are so new to quilting!!! You did a wonderful job on both quilts.
