This is a Courthouse Steps top I made & was set up in the quilt booth at the 100th Gillespie County, TX Fair 1n 1988. It was quilted by people who came by & were invited to sit down & quilt awhile. Most signed their names on the bottom w/a perm. pen.

Love the quilt and the idea that so many people took the time to do a few stitches

Did you live in Fdbg then, or just visit the fair? I lived out Tiveydale Rd. on 20 acres & had just become "addicted" to quilting a couple yrs. before when I took an "adult ed." class @ the hi school. Live in Liberty Hill now. Good to hear from you - have a blessed week end. |
Awww, love the quilt and the pattern

We were visiting. Spend a lot of time in the hill country. Our favorite place is Comfort, TX - Meyer B&B. We have dear friends who live in Kerrville. Love to shop in the burg...or at least until all the recent changes. We come up for the Wine&Food Fest each year and all the Christmas stuff going on in the area Thanksgiving wknd. DH is ready to move up there but I am not ready to lv Houston area yet. It felt so good to see that quilt! hugs
