Barnbum inspired me to go out and look in my box of goodies that I will be taking to the holiday craft fairs.
This isn't for sale. I hope to improve upon this and make several fabric book covers school note books. |

Some odd hot pads and a set of four fabric coasters.
I've NEVER been able to sell any of these. So, FWIW, I just keep trying. Hi. We're a bunch of useless hot pads nobody wants. It's not like we want you putting something piping hot on us anyway ... |

One of MANY stripped Christmas stockings. This one is my personal stocking I made for me. They always look good hanging on our Holiday Table at craft fairs anyway.
Hi. The lady that made me really likes me and doesn't offer me for sale. |

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! BOUNTIFUL TABLE Thanksgiving table runner. I blew it on this one using the white. I should have picked an off white or darker color. |
Wow! Those are some really nice things to sell at the craft fair! Good luck.

Wow!
The quilts I've been working on lately all have good sides pieces and I've been wondering what to do when they are done, and I was half afraid the answer was a quilt with teeny tiny pieces that might never get done. Your wonderful piles of crafts is the answer. So many beautiful things all in one post! If you made those to sell I can't imagine how wonderful the things you make to keep are! |

I can't afford to sell the Mt. Redoubt kit design. No one would pay me what I've invested in that one. That's the Kiddie Table Runner we use at our house when we have the Holiday Dinner. My mom thinks it should be a wall hanging. But, who really uses wall hangings?
This one's MINE! (Christmas) |
The book cover will be lovely as a personal journal cover. But, turns out that I do use that notebook myself. I'll be making more of them. I might have better luck on the hard cover binders. |
They are all very pretty, but I love the Mt. Redoubt Kiddie table runner, its beautiful!
That's a shame I love those red cardinals and the church Steeple!
I know who uses wall hangings. ;) The people who make them. :D |
cordelia - you have such a lot of talent, I don't understand why any of your work shouldn't sell, as I personally think they are all exceptional :D :D
Your stuff is awesome!! I love that twisted star pattern--and the shape is perfect for a table. I'm amazed those cool potholders don't sell! They look wonderful and sure would brighten up a kitchen.
I think wall hangings would sell! I have several up in many rooms in our house--or am I weird? And the stocking is cool too! I think I'll be surprised by what sells and what doesn't? Do you stick to table toppers since that is what sells? If you're sick of that pattern--will you try another? |
Thanks, Izy. I do sell the star table toppers. (I'm sick of making them.) I don't know what to expect this year. Fuel and food prices have gone up considerably (due to exceedingly foolish policy) here in the U.S. A lot of families are going to be a lot more frugal this year.
Awesome!!
Gee Cordelia you are just one crafty lady.....just look at all the stuff you've done....Fantastic!
Oh your stuff all looks fantastic, and i love your dresdin plate table topper...hope your sales go really good for you :)
Beautiful things!!
Nice work Cordelia!
oh Cordelia those things are lovely, is that twisted star a pattern you can share? It looks like the perfect size for my end tables and I have some leftovers from the curtains. I hope you and Karla do well but like you said people are going to be tight with their money, at least those of us who don't have plenty!
All look great Cordelia!
Wow, you've been busy! Your stuff is all beautiful!
They are all Simply beautiful! Just out of curosity, how much do you sell the table toppers for?
Very nice job on everything, Cordelia! I love your Christmas table runner!
Hey - maybe this is the year your potholders will sell. I've had 3 different phonecalls from my daughter and 2 daughter-in-laws. They all needed potholders. So I whipped up a bunch for them. So Good luck- your's are much neater than mine :):):)
Everything you have made is wonderful. Whoever purchases them will love it, and should feel very lucky to get some of your lovely work.
The table toppers are small, medium and large. You can't tell from the pictures which are which, but we get $10-$15-$20 for them. The dresden plate looking topper is very large and goes for $20. With the six place mats, it will go for $35.
BUT, I had them out last year and no one bought it. Sooooooooooo, anyway, I have a lot of others in the works. The twisted star table topper pattern has a template for the center part of the star you get with the kit. It's my mom's kit. We traced it on a piece of plastic years ago. It comes in the three sizes and you have to have the right measurments for the other pieces to fit right. |
Wow! Everything is sooooooooooooo pretty
Your projects look great! And you're right -- you can never predict what people will and won't buy. If they don't pick up some of your work, they are really missing out.
I can picture your twisted star as the center of a baby quilt or a lap robe. It would really be great for a wheelchair lap quilt. |
Awesome pieces!!! Such beautiful work Cordelia
I think they are all nice but I do have a question are some of them done using what someone said is called a mock binding sew together trun inside out and then run around again with a 1/4 seam?
Yes, I use that method for my baby bibs, table runners and pot holders. it is much easier than doing bindings on everything.
They're all very pretty, wish I could come to the fair!
Some have the real binding, but most do not. I don't like to do binding. I sew together and turn inside out and put a quarter inch (invisible thread) seam on it.
Thanks all. Those are last year's stuff. We're making new stuff this year. |
Busy, busy lady.
I really like those table toppers! they are gorgeous!
Did you use the same pattern as Riversong? She's been making some beautiful toppers also. |
Your twisting star table toppers are awesome! For the life of me, I cannot figure out how those seams around the center all come together. Could you point me in the direction of the instructions for doing so? Thanks, June
