How wonderful to involve the children as well as make a testimonial quilt of faith! Great idea!

Thanks everyone.

I already have the directions on my Bible quilt blog at http://biblequilt.com.

I hope to be producing some coloring books made specifically for quilting in the near future. I have an artist friend working with me to do the sketches. I'm better at drawing with a pencil and eraser and cutting with scissors.

What a beautiful quilt. Not familiar with using crayons on quilts. What happens when you wash it? Need some quilt education.

Couldn't find the tutorial on the blogsite. Love the quilt though.

I found the tutorial when I clicked on the link in your first message. Thanks.

After you color the fabric you press it between paper towels with a very hot iron. That sets the color. It isn't as permanent as the color in most fabrics, but it is supposed to hold up to several washing. My approach is to use batting that can take a hot iron. Then if later on it begins to fade you just get the crayons back out and refresh the color.

What a wonderful quilt. I love the idea of the kids coloring it too. Great idea. Thanks for sharing.
