Pretty and practical.....got to be happy with that.

Those are gorgeous! I would be hanging (pun intended) the crazy quilt ones on my wall as art.

kaylfordsollimo 01-14-2017 01:11 PM

Very pretty. I'm guessing they leave no marks on the garments at all. Great bridal shower gifts.

Innov8R 01-14-2017 03:44 PM

Ever so luxuruious!

Karamarie 01-14-2017 04:00 PM

They're too pretty to hang clothes on. Super job.

I am adding pictures of a Crazy Patch hanger and Bridal Ornament that I made for a friend for a wedding.

Such pretty hangers.

so pretty and elegant! Do you wrap the hook before you wrap the batting around the wooden part? Have you every added either cedar or lavender to the batting? I'm thinking of our quilt show boutique....

Yes, I first thread a piece of 1/4 inch plastic tube onto the hook, cutting it a little longer then the now screw end of the hook. Screw the hook into the hanger and then thread a tube matching fabric bias onto the tubed hook, cut this just a fraction longer then the tube plastic and anchor the bias with a few stitches around the wooden hanger. Sew a running stitch around the bias tube, pull tight and tuck the fabric end into the plastic tube with a pointed end of a pair of small scissors, oversew the end closed. I hope I have explained this clearly enough.

Sew pretty.

These crochet hanger patterns are available from the above link. I believe that that American and English terms for crochet differ a little. I am posting the pictures of the tables here.

The crochet hanger covers in this pattern book use the purchased pre covered satin hangers. I prefer to pad the raw wooden hanger and make a matching satin / taffeta cover to place the crochet cover over.

I really like the fabric ones and would love a tute and pattern......if possible. Thanks for the posting of the crocheted ones. They are really pretty. I just can't crochet with thread anymore.

lawsonmugs 01-19-2017 12:59 PM

Betty J thanks so much. I know several of us will like that.

QuiltnLady1 01-19-2017 09:38 PM

Beautiful! My mother used to crochet the wooden hangers -- she would wrap them with old nylons (which are now probably harder to find than the wooden hangers). I love them. The wire hangers she crocheted I use for drying clothes, the padded ones hold things that are slippery or have big necks. Love them.
