Crib Quilt?

2 Attachment(s)
I'm a fairly new quilter and have a hard time choosing colors. I liked each fabric in this quilt... separately. The design is alternating "Garden Square" blocks and a variation of "54/40 or Fight." I like how the secondary pattern looks like circles even though they are all straight lines. According to my color tool, these are split complementary colors and should play well together... but I'm not in love with the result.

I made alot of sample blocks trying to find something that I liked. After finishing the bed quilt, I had enough leftovers to "throw together" a crib-size quilt of the rejects. It certainly doesn't look like any baby quilt that I've ever seen. Would you give this crib quilt to a friend?

And if you don't feel comfortable giving it as a baby quilt- call it a lap quilt

Wow, both quilts are wonderful. Anyone would be blessed to get the crib/lap quilt.
