Crooked Path
 

This quilt reminds me of the poem:
There was a crooked man that walked a crooked mile... So, Crooked Path.
I saw a paper pieced block that inspired me to create the negative blocks in the opposite direction for the effect. They're not paper pieced, but instead, I just used scrap pieces and trimmed.
The top sat unfinished a few weeks while I figured out the borders, which ended up being the basic 1, 2, and 4 inches.
But the quilting...
I had so much fun learning the different stitch patterns with the rulers. Aaaand, I used a single, a double (with metallic threads), and a triple needle for the different areas.
Is there a quadruple needle?... I'll try it.

Ha! there probably is a quadruple needle somewhere in this world! That is a great quilt. love your ideas with it.

I think I saved this pic from pinterest, and I made my own pattern. I used clear xerox transparencies left over from school days and just labeled it front for one direction, then flipped for other direction. Since it was clear, it also allowed me to fussy cut.

Very interesting, I really like that but then I am a scrappy person (when making quilts that is!)
