cross body bag for horse lover

Here is a small cross-body bag I made for a friend who loves horses. The flap is removable, so I will be making more flaps for her without having to make another whole bag.

What a cute idea - adore the purse but love the fact that the flap will be interchangeable.

Nice idea! Neat that the flap is exchangeable! Reminds me of a purse that I had when I was younger; wooden handles and the outer fabric was interchangeable!

Cute bag and super idea in making interchangeable flaps!

Love the bag!!! What size is it and was it your design or was it a commercial pattern? This looks like just the kind of bag I am looking for and I really like the fact that the flap is changeable so it can change with the seasons.

Thanks, KLO. The pattern is the Cookie bag from the Smart Handbag

It is a small bag, but plenty big enough for a cell phone, wallet, and glasses. The pattern says it is approximately 7.5" tall x 8.5" wide x 2.5" deep

Thanks, alikigirl. I like the size of this bag and the fact that it's a cross body bag. I need both hands free when I am shopping. I could see making this in a neutral color for the body and then making flaps with themes for Christmas, Fall, Winter, Summer, St. Patrick's day, Easter, dogs, cats, sewing ....... well, you get the idea as I am sure you had these thoughts too. Thanks for including the link to the pattern too. Can't wait to see the next one you make as I am sure there will be a next one, right?
