Before I got addicted to quilting I was addicted to counted cross-stitch and I thought to share some of my work with you.
The Gismonda and La Trappistine are design adaptation of a posters created for Sarah Bernhard (legendary french actress 1844-1923) by Czech born artist, Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939). The White Tiger is a design my son picked becouse he loves tigers. I never knew how many shades of white and gray is there until I started working on this tiger. Hope this will inspire some of you to try something else...lol La Trappistine Gismonda White Tiger Blue girl ( Alphonse Mucha) Green Girl (Alphonse Mucha) |
Beautiful work. I used to do counted cross stitch too, but never that nice.

Beautiful. I also do counted cross stitch but nothing this big or nice.
|
Very nice! I do counted cross stich also.
|
Beautiful. Before the quilt bug got me I did CCS too!
|
Very nice...I love the white tiger! I gave up on counted cross stitch when my vision went downhill. Quilting is easier on my eyes. I do miss it sometimes though. My favorite was to stitch on linen.

Very nice!
I do counted cross stitch now and then but nothing as large as yours. |
Ohhh my gosh! Your work is beautiful. I was a cross-stitcher before quilting came into my life also. Still love doing a little project once-in-awhile!
