Wow! Such great things you do with a needle and thread! I would now be in my 200's (years old) if I had done THAT many cross stitch projects!

tolepainter54 01-06-2011 11:27 AM

Beautiful work!

Quiltinggma-nc 01-06-2011 12:00 PM

Beautiful. I am also addicted to counted cross stitch and have one in progress now. I will post when it is finished.

lynn_z 01-06-2011 01:01 PM

OMG!! You must be 400 years old! That's how long it would take me to do all these amazing projects...astounding work!

bdship 01-06-2011 01:05 PM

Beautiful, expecially the portraits.

Jingle 01-06-2011 01:05 PM

You have so many pretty and cute pictures, the people ones are very unique. You did a wonderful job on them.

I use to do counted cross stitch also, nothing like yours.

lyndad 01-06-2011 01:14 PM

Such beautiful works of art, I've done a few, but none as striking as yours, thanks for showing us your art.

SharonD 01-06-2011 02:00 PM

Beautiful cross stitches..

ewecansew 01-06-2011 02:10 PM

Oh, my goodness. Your Cross-stitch is so awesome. Do you have much difficulty in obtaining materials and threads?

golfer 01-06-2011 02:19 PM

Wow, wow, wow. If you start quilting like you did cross stitch, you will be in for a surprise. How did you print the faces and then know what color threads to use. They are unbelievably good.

jojosnana 01-06-2011 02:47 PM

Wow, I see beautiful work, so many hours of art creation. Thank you for sharing it with us.

DeneK 01-06-2011 03:02 PM

Beyond awesome! Everyone has said it better than I. I used to do cross stitch too (well still have lots of WIP's around that I hope to finish some day). You must stitch like a whirlwind -- or else as someone else said you must be 400 years old. LOL!

kwiltkrazy 01-06-2011 03:12 PM

Your work s so beautiful, and diversified. True works of art.

ann clare 01-06-2011 03:14 PM

WOW You sure were busy.

Raggiemom 01-06-2011 03:16 PM

Amazing work. That's a hobby I'm going to take up some day.

np3 01-06-2011 03:30 PM

And I thought I had a lot of cross stitch!

rootyr 01-06-2011 03:31 PM

Just amazing!!!!!

trolleystation 01-07-2011 01:51 AM

What a wonderful collection of your beautiful work. I love doing cross stitch but I get bored about half way through. I have opted for smaller projects that I can finish. But would love to have the determination to do as you have done. I hope the recipients of these lovely pieces really appreciate them. If you have any left over, I will send you my address. lol Happy New Year.

fabric_lover 01-07-2011 05:08 AM

The picture of your grandson is just especially gorgeous as are your other portraits. I do cross stitch bt printed, don't think I'd have eyesite to docounted - or patience. Just beautiful, all of them.

fabric_lover 01-07-2011 05:10 AM

Just have to add they are so lifelike. Excellent work.

sewing4kix 01-07-2011 05:14 AM

Absolutely beautiful! I too am addicted to cross stitch and can appreciate all of the time it took to stitch these. Great job :)

conniebrooks 01-07-2011 05:14 AM

Just beautiful and such patience. I am working on a pic of my granddaughter when she was 2 she is now almost 7. I need to get it out and finish it someday.

Carol Carter 01-07-2011 05:18 AM

NUTMEG10 01-07-2011 05:34 AM

Fantastic work. I did some counted cross stitch on linen and very aware how much work went into these fabulous pictures. You are a master of cross stitch. Thank you for sharing

mcbride4362 01-07-2011 05:53 AM

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. I have never seen cross stitch this beautiful. I would give anything to have a picture of my daughter!

Olga 01-07-2011 06:04 AM

Hi!
Each portrait consists of 90 colors of thread. Embroidered Portet 1 month to 8 hours a day. Some portraits unfinished. The right mood and state of mind. I'm waiting for when this moment will arrive to complete. Thank you all for the good feedback and attention to my work. Happy New Year 2011! I wish all the happiness!
Olga from distant Tatarstan.

Your cross stitching is so wonderfully exquisite! I was a cross stitcher also before quilting. NOW, because you do such wonderful work, let's see some of your quilting.

Olga, I so enjoyed looking at your photos. Such a wide variety and such exquisite work. Thank you for sharing with us.

IndyQuilter 01-07-2011 07:07 AM

Your crosstitch is as beautiful as your quilting. I especially love the portraits. I've never seen that done before.
Thank you for sharing.

Shadow 01-07-2011 07:26 AM

Words fail me! Your work is above outstanding! I use to cross-stitch and thought I did pretty well...but yours are above and beyond. Are your quilts as beautiful?

elseebee 01-07-2011 07:40 AM

Incredible! I'm a cross-stitcher who's recently "converted" to being a quilter. One of my plans is to do some cross-stitch blocks to incorporate into a quilt. I'm a;ready working on a redwork quilt and think it's fun to use other forms of needlework in my quilts.

QweenBee 01-07-2011 07:42 AM

WOW! Olga, you do some beatiful work! Bee Proud!

stitchofclass2 01-07-2011 07:47 AM

Those are all gorgeous. The portraits are so special. I do counted cross stitch so I know the time involved. Your work is just beautiful. What heirlooms. I am so impressed. BSMH (be still my heart).
