Crosswinds

hey all, here is a new art quilt. It's titled Crosswinds after jazz drummer Billy Cobham's album of the same name that was released when I was in high school. It's 29" x 39". Thanks for looking,

What a brillant work of art! It is simply beautiful. I really enjoyed looking at and appreciating all the little details and the blend of color. I would really like to hear more details about how you created this. Was this one piece of fabric, or did you cut out and join the fabric like a jigsaw puzzle? How long did it take to create it? What motivated you to make such a detailed quilt? ..Did you have this in your mind before you started? Or was it a "create as you go" project? I'm really curious about all you did to make this quilt!
