This is for my wonderful MIL that is an avid crossword puzzle fan. Sadly, she is losing her memory. This is a crossword with the names of her family - husband, kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

The letters were cut from a piece of moda fabric that had the letters printed on squares. I have lots of leftover, but will use them for something.

I did find a website (puzzlemaker.com) that sets up the crossword puzzle for you after you put in the words and clues. I use this at school sometimes.

All I did was plot out the quilt on graph paper, and did one row at a time. The letter squares were 3" so I cut the black fabric into 3" squares also.

Crosswords always remind me of my mother, as she was always doing them. Yours is really neat! That's a great thing for you to do for your MIL! Nice!
