Cupcakes are far more fun than star blocks any day!! Yours look so edible and I'd make more if I were you and bet they will sell quickly!!

That is my idea, I used a washed out yogurt container for the base and it went together so easily!

cute idea!

Pretty. I'm gona have to try this.

I'm thinking twice - that is really a great idea!! I have a gorgeous looking make-up jar that I can't wait to finish off so I can recycle it into a fabulous pincushion. I'll post pics when done, but the yogurt cup is a far cheaper and better idea! Plus we all love edible looking cupcakes! I'm ready to lick the icing off that one!! haha ;-)

Mmmm, yummy.

Will bring a smile to someones face as they sew along.

How cute! My little granddaughter would love me to make her some I sure!!

samroberts01 01-30-2010 07:38 PM

The best part is you just use stuff you have! I used the yogurt cup covered it with the brown cupcake farbric, filled that with batting scraps then covered the top with a scrap of pink fabric ( I hand sewed that around the edge ) then hot glued some beads I had lying around! And viola a cupcake pincushion... sooo simple yet soo cute!

That looks yummy. Cute pin cushion.

I just purchased off ebay for a deal less than 10 with shipping a dozen wilton cupcake holders in the silcon? material so I could make cupcake pincushions for sale. Yours came out SO cute. I bet some pearl pin heads would look just like cupcake frosting toppers!

samroberts01 01-30-2010 08:28 PM

That is my plan too. I am going to get some special pins to put in it, this one is for a gift and I am going to make me one and I think some more to have to sell. They were just so easy but soooo cute!

Really cute pincushion.

Marjpf 02-01-2010 02:08 PM

To cute - are your going to keep it or give it away? I would keep it.

samroberts01 02-01-2010 02:31 PM

Well... I am now thinking of keeping this one and making another one for the gift, I think I am really going to make a bunch of these as I get yogurt cups to keep to sell.
