"Curiosities" Blanket/Panel Done!
 

My BIL/SIL had their first baby in October so this will be their Christmas present. It's a panel called Curiosities that I found in a Port Angeles quilt shop during a day trip this summer to the peninsula with my gal pals. I was hoping their baby would be a girl just so I could use this! You can get the panel here.
I appliqued her name then did FMQ for the first time tracing the alphabet shapes on the side. My free motion isn't great on this, but I consider it acceptable. I like attaching the binding to the front and hand stitching to the back... but I made a mistake and did it backwards so I had to machine stitch both sides of the binding. I don't like the look of that so much but I didn't notice my error until I finished sewing it to the back. That's what I get for being in a rush.
